Baseball / Golf Athletic Programming
The organization is focused on exposing Milwaukee’s youth to sports that’s are non traditionally played
in underserved communities. Baseball, and golf represent the sports FIT Club MKE will initially focus on.
The goal is to introduce the fundamentals of the above-mentioned sports will the hope of encouraging
lifetime interest and participation.
Current Offerings:

After school programming

Baseball Training: The organization will introduce the sport the fundamentals of baseball, provide
equipment to kids and school, develop skills, and ultimately grow the game within the black
community.

Golf Training: The organization has partnered with the First Tee of Southeast WI to introduce the
game of golf and bring their much needed programming into the black community.
Academic Programming
FIT Club MKE’s goal is to help improve the educational outcomes for Milwaukee’s youth.
Current Offerings:

Reading proficiency: The organization is committed to improving the reading proficiency of our
students. We partner with local educators and administrators to create youth programming that
highlight the importance and fundamentals of reading. Students receive data-driven reading
instruction in small, large group settings so they can continue to make strong educational strides.
Reading is fundamental and we aim to put the FUN back in FUNamental.

Additionally, FIT Club MKE has partnered with The Nextdoor Foundation- Books for Kids and they
provide free books for our organization to help grow home libraries.
